Windshield washer fluid not coming out
What do you guys do if the nozzles are plugged? Can they be cleared out with a sewing pin or something small?
I've never even heard of them clogging before, might be better off buying new ones!
the jets in my 2012 look they are plastic. Even if you don't drive in the snow, we have salt on the roads 6 months out of the year.
Yup. Take them out, and work out the clog. If you have a lot of particles in your water and you pour that into the washer tank, it can build up deposits and clog. The solution is to use bottled water or washer fluid instead of tap water.
How do I unclip the nozzle/jet to re-attach the hose?
I realized when I took off the hood insulation, the hose was just unplugged from the nozzle/jet.
No way to get to it in place.
I'll have to take the nozzle/jet out, re-attach the hose, then re-install the jet.
I don't want to risk breaking the jet.

I been dealing with this issue for a long time.
In my area, summer time makes for a lot of dust on the windshield.
It SUCKS not being able to wash that off. When the morning sun hits the windshield, its hard to see through that. I have to stop at a station and squeegee off the windshield.
I found somewhere where someone posted a link on how to get those jet/nozzles out.
I couldn't seem to copy it or copy from the PDF. I think its the manual for Ford mechanics to use.
You slip a credit card under the clip and press forward, towards the front bumper. It popped right out!!
I saw there is not a clamp or clip on there or maybe there was and it came off. I used a zip tie, then clipped the zip tie tail off. I re-installed the jet and figured I'd move onto the other jet/nozzle, as it was not working either.
But first, I figured I'd test the driver's side.
Both work now.
So I'm pretty happy about this. Obviously I'm not very good with cars and mechanical things so doing something like this is a feat for me.
Thanks so much for the help,
M

To anyone who’s experienced the clogging issue, I can’t seem to find a video showing where the fluid tube is located, or how to remove the washer sprayers individually. Could anyone post a picture or video showing this? Would be a huge help as I can hear motor working and think my tube is just clogged. Thank you!
