Default TPS Voltage range question

I've searched and searched and can't find this information. I understand TPS voltage should be betweem 1.19 - 1.31. I looked in the manuals online here and the section dealing with TPS voltage setting is in a manual that is not available. It's in the Powertrain / Emissions manual.

I am installing one of Jerry Strannigans TB later this week. I will check the voltage prior to and then set the new voltage to match but here's my question; does anyone know if there is any advantage to setting the voltage to either the low end or the high end of the range? Either 1.20 vs say 1.30? As long as the TPS still reaches 4.5v at WOT what effect does the initial voltage have on these cars? I read that the pre 2005 FI systems would read the initial voltage each time at startup and use that as the "idle" setting but have not been able to verify if this system does the same or the actual voltage somehow influences the initial setup of the PCM and setup varies based on something determined in the PT / EM section manual.

If the TPS voltage is so critical then why is there such a big range? Seems that Ford has some way to determine whether the car should be at 1.19 or 1.31 and I can't find how to determine that.

Hopefully one of you gurus has the PT/EM manual and can share your wisdom. Best I can tell this info should be in the TB replacement section.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone have access to the Powertrain / Emissions manual and can share the TPS setting section? I have set my TPS voltage from 1.21 to 1.28 doing the idle learn proceedure each time and have found no difference in how the car runs.

I think you answered your own question. Normally the TPS is not adjustable on these cars and does not need to be. The voltage is what it is. If you have to adjust the idle screw then there is something else wrong.

There is not an adjustment as such but the small amount of movement in the TPS will change the voltage from 1.21 to 1.27 and I was just wondering what the factory proceedure was. More of a curiosity thing than anything else.
