Default Alternator?

I have two trouble codes. P0390 and P0394. Cam position circuit B intermittent.
They aren't P0340 and P0344 but are they a result of a bad alternator?

All help appreciated

Allen

Engine has been turning over very slowly in the last couple of days. I found the negative terminal post of the battery, at the bottom, had almost completely broken away. A pencil thin piece of the post in the center was the only connection.

I replaced the battery, cleared the P0390 and P0394 codes.
Code P0345 showed up 15 minutes after starting. I cleared it. Drove to work this morning and the code returned.

I do seem to have an occsasional miss at idle. It is noticeable.

Any inputs?
Here is the negative terminal post.

Have you had the alternator tested?

No, but I'm aware of the TSB for earlier Mustangs. I will be picking up an oscilloscope this weekend.

yeah, excessive ripple coming from it (failed rectifier) can cause all sorts of issues.

Well, after being on for a week, even after resetting, the engine light went out late last night. Still no code this morning.
Hmm.. :^|
