Timing chain replacement
Hello I’m changing the timing chain, guides, tensioners, phasers on a 2006 ford mustang gt. The guide broke and threw the timing off. I’ve never timed an engine before but I believe if I line up the notch on the crankshaft pulley to tdc then remove the pulley cover and replace all the timing parts there is a spot on the timing chain sprocket with the crankshaft at tdc then I have to put the colored links on that spot on the timing sprocket then up to the L and R on the phasers correct? I read in the heyns book or however you spell it that I have to take all the rocker arms is that necessary? Anyone have a write up of the process everything I’ve looked at are mostly videos with the engines out of the vehicle any help is appreciated thank you
