my 2005 GT, when cranking the the key two times (engine off) will show “Fail Safe Engine Mode” and has a weird start up and typically shuts the car off by itself, i then cleaned the throttle body and the flaps, and cleaned the maf sensor. problem still sorta occurred but less frequent than usual. the last 2 weeks its been completely fine and feeling great again, but this morning it went into fail safe mode with the engine off and then i cranked it and the start up put the rpms way to high 1400-1500 and then immediately drops to 850-950rpms, and it just sounded weird too obviously. im very curious as to what route i should take, and i don't want to just change the throttle body and then it be the PCM causing this. if you know anything about this problem please reach out to me.
