Default lost...

i was driving around tonight, and this ranger kept pulling up on me, so i would go faster, he would do the same.. we ended up at this red light, lined up, and both took off.. he dropped his clutch too hard, and spun the tires (its been raining), and i didn't have any traction problems. I had him through my first gear (by at least 3 cars), and then my tranny would not shift into 2nd, and when it finally went in, it kicked back out.... so when i was trying to get my tranny to shift, he passed me..

We stopped at the next light, side by side, and because of road construction, we didn't go again.. but we rolled down windows, and talked a little.. it was an '89 Ranger with a 2.3l in it.... i want to find that guy again, and line it up again, i think i can do it

A4LD - minimum of $1000 now

T5 - maybe $500 for everything

I had mine rebuilt for $1300, and I won't make that mistake again. I would search high and low, even if it has to be shipped to get a T5. But there is a company in Arizona I believe that overhauls A4LD's for street/strip use....won't be cheap though.

What you missed was the guy jogging down the sidewalk that beat both of you lol

I wouldn't suggest racing on a hurt tranny, but you already know that. It is too entertaining to resist sometimes
