Default 2.3 Turbo Blocks

Man did I luck out, someone has 3 Turbo Coupe blocks, 1986, 1988,1988

There are some problems with the blocks though
1986 - Needs a major overhaul
1988 - Block is ****
1988 - Burnt in a fire

So my plans are to buy all three engine and swap parts so I can get one grand engine. What do you guys think?

Buy them extremely cheap all 2.3 block same except turbo has hole for turbo oil drain. Any machine shop can do. The expensive part is the forged piston ouch. Also need turbo head they are different and getting hard to find that are not cracked. Take a real good look at bore and make sure pistons are reusable. I bought 3 turbo motor the most I paid was 250 for each motor and 400 for complete car. Haven't had much luck lately finding any.

Get what you can where you can. Like me extra parts accumalated. What I read turbo cars rarer in Canada the only other alternative is e-bay and have shipped to you and deal with shipping and question import restriction if any. My boss had a gyrocopter [ sort of like a helocopter] imported from Canada he had a few problem. Hard for me to tell you the best way to go. Extra parts never hurt.

Unless you plan on spending money on a complete rebuild, dont bother trying to piece engines together. Try to find one complete engine that runs.

Well after I talked to the guy more the engine runs and its complete, but white smoke is coming out still, it has a new head and headgasket so I'll just move everything over to my 2.3 N/A block and that should work
