Default AOD shifting problems

Does anyone know at what RPM the AOD transmission is supposed to shift at? Mine shifts between 2500 RPM and 3000. I think that is low.
Also, someone told me I could adjust when it shifts pretty easily. I'd like more information on how to do that.

Your car has a A4LD trans, not a AOD like the 5.0's. Your trans is shifting right, mine shifts there and around 6k if I hold my foot in it

It shifts wherever it feels that it needs to.

O ok. Somewhere I heard it is supposed to shift at 4500, but it must be all in the way you drive it. I did find out today that the bearing in my alternator is going out (that was the sound at 2500 rpm). Go figure that when I find out I don't have any transmission problems, I find out my alternator is going out.
