Carb intake and EFI intakes are different, the EFI has holes for the injectors, the Carb one has no holes there

damn if only we knew what taht was off of, i want one now. If you were going to cut the end off and weld it on farther back, you could make an adpater for liek a 5.0 75mm tb or one of those dual port 4.6 tbs. are teh butterflies on a shaft with like an electric switch or how are they operated? i was thinking mabe running a pressure line that forced it open at like 10lbs, or possibly a pressure activated switch, connected to a solenoid taht would open the butterlfies at whatever prsssure u had the switch set at. if you were running the boost solenoid you might be able to piggyback a switch off of that so it opened at the same time the solenoid allowed full boost.

I was going to use a air cylinder to push it open. Like said need to pressure test. May leak under boost. Doubt if it was off a turbo motor. Not saab my intake does not narrow at rear. That one looks like it couples together and mine bolts together.

I've heard the 4.6 TB's being a 'dual port' design have troubles flowing, under F/I, and usually they step to a single bore/port similar to the 5.0's.

Regardless, that intake is really hawt, and score, mg man! I would set the butterflies to pop open under 10-12lbs of boost or so.(pending on your total boost, maybe a bit less).

I think that the distr. should clear, but the alt. may not. Anyways, let us fidn out the intake origin! I wonder if it would match up to the DOHC volvo, and be a killer setup. I wonder how hard it would be, to setup a new fuel rail?

Get me those part #'s off of the intakes? That will solve this. We will just google the part #'s, and get some results. Maybe it is off of the 8v turbo volvo 4cyl, from like 89-94? It could be that, because it looks really similar to the 16v volvo head, just a larger port, maybe. Just eyeing it, maybe they would match, if you ported the head ports and runners.
