it would be best if you transfer the wiring harness, but the wiring harness(if it has abs) also will have a bunch of wires that lead into the trunk, this is where the abs module is located. That part you will not need. You will also need to used the icm(integrated control module). It is located beside the VAM(vane air meter). It contains relays and also i believe a barometric sensor.(i'm not completely sure, but it has a vaccum tube that is connected to the intake, so i assume a barometric sensor) I think that repinning the computer input would be a waste since its not that hard to snake the wiring out and put the new in. i'm actually getting ready to do the same thing, my 88 t-coupe caught on fire and i salvaged the motor. Currently going into my 89 lx 2.3 N/A.(currently doing a 5-speed swap first then after driving the car for a few weeks, will then do swap) If something i said isn't correct, then please tell me. Thanks and good luck!

Re pinning the car takes all of 1/2 an hour, re wiring it takes all of a day or more if you don't know where anything goes[8D]

https://mustangforums.com/m_2667288/tm.htm Lot of links here. Start off use the vam section of wiring only. Transplant whole entire motor. May have remove fuel rail and use on mustang. Remove bap/map sensor from turbocoupe and install where mustang one was. Just don't put vacumn to it. Exhaust use downpipe from turbo and hook to mustang. Hint free flowing exhaust is best. High flow cat or no cat best. On repinning. Simple remove computer and harness. unbolt plug connection, Pull the red connector out. Use care here. If wires are pulled on hard the will come out. On the backside is numbers. Look at carefull small plastic clips hold wire connectors in. Count the wires and remove ones in wrong hole and install proper. Play with the turbocoupe one and learn on it. Since you won't be using it. You will be using the turbocoupe computer. Hope this helps.

this post has nothing to do with SVO's. turbo questions go in the main 2.3 tech page.

once you have the computer in your hands it will make more sense than asking questions and then trying to imagine what it is, but from the sounds of it, Fox90, you have to do some serious research on what you want to do. Also, if its a 87/88 bird, stingers writeup will apply to you then, i used a pf3 which is a merkur ecu, so it is a bit different, the stingers write up is very good if you have the LA computer..
