Trailer Hitch

RE: Trailer Hitch
None of you guys have faith in the ol stang! I dont want to buy a beater truck for a 1000 bucks...I need something reliable to get me to the track and back...its around 100 miles each way. And your right...200 lbs is low for a hitch rating. But like it was mentioned before, I'm not going to be stuffing the bike in front of the trailer axle, it will be balanced over the axle. I dont see it being any different than lugging 3 of my fat friends around in my car.

RE: Trailer Hitch
I towed a vehicle on a steel car trailer for 400 miles behind an MGB which has an 1800cc engine & 95hp - not very smart I admit but it did no damage to the car. I really don't think what you're planning on doing will cause any issues for you other than higher gas consumption. for what it will cost to try it I'd do it (in fact next year I want a Jetski & will probably set my 2.3l up to tow that - if I can figure out a way to hide a hitch well enough I'll set my S197 up as well).
