'92 acceleration problem
So, my kids '92 'vert was running fine, then last night while driving it instantly lost power and won't pull enough RPM to run more than about 25 MPH. With the car in the driveway in park, if I manually open the throttle all the way it labors up about an additional 1000 rpm and just hangs there. Its not throwing any engine codes either. It just won't spin up. Any ideas on where to start? Ignition control module maybe?
I would say the ignition is probably ok. I would clean the mass air flow to start. CRC makes a good cleaner to spray it down with. See if that helps. I would also check the TPS and make sure that is functioning properly.
Well, I measured the TPS and had .9v at idle and 2.2v at WOT. So I figure its bad, right? I replace it and the new one gives me the same reading. WTF? Shouldn't it be about 3.6v at WOT? Is it possible to short one out? I did the pins through the wiring deal and they did short. Will that hurt it? I am at a loss.
MAF was replaced a year ago.
Ideas?

check fuel pressure at Schrader Valve. if low, go to fuel supply system: filter and pump output. Sudden clogging of fuel filter has been known to happen and will cause exactly your problem. If supply system OK,
go to fuel pressure regulator on engine fuel rail. If it's bypassing most of the supplied fuel, injectors get too little. Regulator easy to replace.
