my question is can it be done at a reasonable price? also what all would i need to gather up for the swap? i know i'll neeed the computer and engine bay wire harness what else is needed?

I studied that but couldn't find a donar vehicle or engine. Good luck if decide to do it. Keep me informed.
I would get engine, mounts, radiator, wiring, computer, also if using ac and power steering I would get those hoses etc, Notice fuel line routing of Mustang and the 3.8 SC, you may need donar lines if on opposite side of car.
Compare throttle cable, Get the air box, filter, hose, and maf if have one.
Transmission and lines and driveshaft if automatic, and if 5speed unsure if a 2.3 will fit the 3.8. If converting from automatic to 5speed will need pedals etc.
Reasonable what is that consider. If hired done NO. If you are doing it yes. Unsure if oil pan etc cause problem. But since both I think are foxbody. I assme no problem there. Good luck should be easier that putting a SHO in a foxbody. [Yeah I was stupid enough to try]. Maurice

thank you for your reply. i did some research and the 79-93 stang did come with a 3.8 v6 up til 86. so it souldn't be a problem getting it to fit. just ahve to find the pan for one that year. i am also considering upgrading the front suspension to the 50 haarware for imfroved braking. n soens in making the car go faster if you cant stop it. i will have to start looking around at some of the local salvage yaerds to find a motor trans and computer and driveshaft. if it is needed.
