Default Yet another gear question

I just bought a 5.0 and i wanted to change from the stock 3.08 highway gears to either 3.73's or 4.10's. Would i have to change the stock clutch as well? Thanks

No, just the gear in tranny housing and maybe the drive gear inside the trans depending on what is in there now. As I understand it there is a 4 tooth and 5 five tooth that could be insode the housing for a stick. If you have the 5 tooth then you just need to chnage the speedo gear. If you have the 4 tooth you would be wise to replace both the 4 toogh and the speedo gear. As I understnad it the four tooth won't hold up over itme.

No, the clutch has nothing to do w/ changing the gears. You'll want to get the speedo driven gear to keep your speedometer correct....I'm not sure if there is one for 4.10's.... I know there is for 3.55's.
