Default Time of Death???

Hey guys,

Was racing an sn-95 cobra the other night when my clutch pretty much turned into vaseline. Its toasted and I need to change it. AS it turns out, hi-po clutches are real expensive, so i opted for a OEM replacement SACHS clutch (which was recomended to me by a local mustang shop who uses the same clutch on a procharged 2001 GT)...

Now, alot of you know that im layin around 390-420 HP at the CRANK (i better not get any flames for this)... so i was wondering, how long do you guys think this clutch would last me??? No i dont EVER do clutch drops or that kinda stuff, but i do rev hard alot of the time and the car loses traction at 3000 in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd...

Oh and the car NEVER sees the track (since we dont have any around here, lol).

Just a rough estimate would be nice.

What do you think, should i pay almost double for the centerforce/ACT, or just go ahead and slap this one on. (BTW, I fixed the roller rocker ticking noise, it wasnt a big problem after all, needed some adjustment)...

Some help here dudes.

Maybe the mechanic gets a good deal on those SACHS clutches or something. Who knows?

Look up the torque rating on which ever model you go with and go a little higher than what you need.
It doesn't take too many hard launches to glaze a cheap clutch when you're pushing that much power.

I am just wondering if you have mods that are not listed in your profile, if not that clutch may be OK, for a while. Why not just save up and get SPEC II or somthing, it's always cheaper to do right one time than wrong a few times.
