I had straight pipes on my convertible, it sounds bad ***. Everyone at my school loved it and it would get a lot of attention. But i lost a LOT of backpressure and a LOT of torque.

yea loss of backpressure is not good. harmful to a motor. backpressure is a key element in a good setup.

I love the sound of open exhaust. When I first bought my H-pipe and was having trouble with it, I was driving to auto shops and lowes lookin for bolts that actually would work, that thing sounded badass and I even pulled up next to a Cobra and reved and he actually looked at me in disbelief and then turned is head and looked the other way. I was trying to race him, but he didnt want none, to bad because he would have smoked me.
