Yea it give you better spark so it burns all the fuel in the chamber, get a bit more power but mostly better throttle response.

Is the 6AL worth it on a bolt on 5.0?

Worth it? Yes, if your planning on getting deep into your mods. IE: Cam, SC, or heads.

Since your getting better airflow your going to use more fuel so the 6A and 6AL will make sure you burn all that fuel.

I wouldnt Buy the 6AL just get the 6A, there both the same thing just the 6AL has a adjustible rev limiter. Ive never took my car past 5500 RPM so I wouldnt need one, But my limiter is set at 6K.

its worth it but like snake said only when you get more mods. Its not like you would feel a difference or really notice much in your gas. You can always do the whole ignition, wires, cap & rotor, plugs and the box and you will defintally notice the smoothness and some gas
