Being loud is fun and all until you get a ticket. I think it was in the OT some guy was saying how he ditched the catback or something and then the cops were looking for him but he got into his garage in time. Tickets are no fun and being a cop magnet more then you already are is just asking for trouble. If you got a CAI and they ask to see under your hood depending on where you live they will imound your car.

dude i would go headers with no converters and get some magnapack mufflers for it. itll be loud but you wont lose all your backpressure. like tim said, you have to have some backpressure or youll suffer from power loss,

Lol about SC. Ive had cops pull me over and ask just to look around at my car. They were like, " Nice ride, how much power you got? " All my friends run BBK long tubes and open off road H-pipe's. You wanna be LOUD do that. No cops bother us around here. No emissions, no enforced vehicle codes or anything.I on the other hand run MAC shorties with Catless H-pipe and Flow 40 series and dumps. Everyone can hear me coming from a mile away. And its not such a raw sound, its nice and smooth. My buddies on the other hand are just loud, there exhaust is all un-even pitches and shiz, to nasty of a sound for my ears, sounds like an old truck or somthing.

I personally don't think i'm losing all that much back pressure. I was told that having the x-pipe in there helps a little bit with the back pressure and I still have the original cats on there but I had them hollowed out. My exhaust in my opinion doesn't sound raspy or raw in fact just the opposite. I get alot of compliments on how"thats the way a real muscle car should sound" and comments like that.
