does anybody have any experience removing and replacing the window trim on the driver and passenger doors that could help me out?

I did the same thing with quarter window trim at the junkyard a LONG time ago. I sat there with a putty knife and a hammer (thats what some dumba$$ told me to do) trying to get a set of quarter trim out for prob over an hour. I than realized how they came out

what did you do to get it off (easily) whats the best way to get to the pins (without causing any damage to anything on the car, including the trim itself)?

If you are talking about the trim that runs along the bottom of the window. There is one screw that needs to be removed in the door jam then you need to slid the peace away from the mirror torwards the back of the car to remove it from the clips. That is how they came off my 91 i dont see why they would be any different then mine.

My trim is starting to fade too. I am just going to carefully paint it with a black acrylic paint. It sounds really cheap, but it works.
