Default Brakes hissing - feel like Freddy Flintstone

My power brakes are only working only 20 - 30 % after coming back from a 10 day vacation. When I push the pedal down, you can hear the brake "hiss", and is very hard to push. The hiss sounds like it is just above the brake pedal (inside the car). Sometimes I can push the pedal down w/o any problem, but you can feel the power disengage, and the pedal pushes back at you.

I've purged the brakes, which included fresh fluid (thinking water may have contribted to the problem.) Not a whole lot of "talk" about brake problems here...Master replacement? Electrical switch? Any ideas? My feet are burn'n!

Maybe the booster, but replace your check valve first and see if that helps
