equal length headers melting wires
i just put my mac equal length headers on last night w/ mac off road x pipe.. i love it and it made a huge difference. anyway, my problem is that i also put accel 8mm cap and wires in and #3 and #7 cylinders are melting the plug wires in turn causing it to arc off the header in turn me losing 2 cylinders. does anybody have any suggestions on how to solve this problem? thanks

you can always try some header/exhaust wrap as well, it will do the same thing as a boot insulator except it covers the pipes and should give you a little lower underhood operation temp at the same time

I've never known anyone who's used them on a daily driver so I don't know about corosion, that would make sense though. They tend to be something people use mostly for racing.

It doesn't make much sense to me. Think about it......for starters, you're gonna need to leave your hood up for a couple days, not starting the motor, when it's raining, to even come close to corroding them. The damned tubes get so hot there's no way in hell that water's gonna be able to stay between the metal and the wrap!
What about where the collectors are you say? Isn't that already exposed, meaning it'll corrode anyway (by your theory at least)? Just warm the car up for 2 minutes before driving in the rain if that's your worry!

all you need is a lil aluminum foil or foil tape they'll never burn again...I love the headers also I used the wraps moister would be at a min if the car is driven everyday and or is store in a garage
