If you were going to do a v8 swap, I would strongly suggest having a donor car for all the parts. with this, you can do the swap fairly fast and painless. I have found the web and this site very helpfull along the way during and after my swap

ok well thanks for the info guys, i am only 18 and i dont think this would be my best option. the reason i posted and didnt just go and figure it out on my own was because this ebay auction ends very soon. it seemed like a good deal but il stick to lookin for a real 5.0 even if i have to restore it.

+1 i'm 16 and starting on my 89 build! i have a 2.3L 4 cyl hatchback with dents and dings galore! it has no battery, no radiator, , no quarter glass, and the seats dont lock in place. I LOVE IT!

+2 I was only 17 when I started my restoration. I stripped it down to a bare chassis, cut off the front of the car back to the strut towers and welded a new one in, got it all painted. Pulled a motor and trans out of another car and re-built/cleaned/painted/modified that, changed the entire wiring harness in the car (from 87 to a 92) Put air-bags in a car that was never meant to have them etc etc etc. And I've had no problems at all doing it, the only time I asked for help was to put the engine in so i didn't scratch my engine compartment.
