Doing rear gears is not that hard. An average joe can do it as long as he has and idea of how it works. When you were tightning the nut did you get the crush sleave crushed? it takes like 150ft lb+ to crush it.

Sometimes when you get the carrier bearings preloaded it can be a real tight fit. I know a buddy of mine said he's had to take a decent sized slide hammer to pull the carrier back out. Take two decent sized prybars and lether rip!
BTW, I think I could get there in 11 minutes....w/o the federali's...

Its not that hard, because my dad and i did mine it makes no noise, it does not get hot, and it has no play. The black lash was dead on. So they dont teach you in school? then why did you go? Thats what school is for, they teach you how to do it. If you catch on then you learned something, if you dont your stupid.

Because you need 1 teacher per student to do this, it's experience, it's like automatic trannys, they don't teach that in school either. The purpose of going to school is to learn to diagnose and repair problems, not to do someone else's job
