^^ Exactally. There ARE deals out there but you just have to figure out which ones are real and which ones are scams. Also, selling a 93 Cobra is alot different than selling a 67 Shelby.

It's a scam. I was trying to buy a 65 NOVA II off of ebay earlier this year. Guy wanted to use Square Trade as his broker. I finally got ahold of someone at square trade and found out that they had no information on this guy.

The VIN #'s matched his info. I ran all kinds of checks - he said he was stationed with US Military in Croatia and couldn't register the car over there. It sounded way too good to be true.

I'd try to get someone in Dallas to go look at the car for you. Cross Checking the VIN and the Title, visit the DMV With him and have him sign a BILL OF SALE at the Texas DMV office and have them check the validity of the title/etc..

It's probably too good to be true. You may have lucked out, but chances are its a hoax. A buddy of mine in Fort Worth, Texas sold a vehicle to a guy and he was paid with a fake cashier's check.. It was a huge mess. Lots of that BS going on these days..
