Cool, well I guess time will tell. At least exhaust is done now...time to save for Heads, Cam, Rockers and port job now.

Yea, I just called flowmaster and they said it's the cat's. I wanted high flow H-pipe cuz I don't like the stinkyness of no cats plus in a Vert it would be real bad. This sucks! I wan't that sound
ya know i have a vert and o/r h pipes and i never even smell em... unless i get out while its running and walk around to the back. I am sure if there were to be a vert behind me he sure would, but i'm not too worried about that

when i first put on my flowmaster cat-back it wasnt very loud and it droned like crazy at 2000 rpm. it actually made some of the interior plastic rattle. after a couple weeks of driving the drone all but dissapeared and now its still not very loud but it got louder. i definetly think flows need a break in period.

here's my set-ups:

1. 1985 coupe with shorties, factory catted h-pipe, and flowmaster 40's
2. 1987 coupe with shorties, O/R h-pipe, and flowmaster 40's with turndowns
3. 1992 coupe all stock

the quitest (of course) is my 1992 being all stock ... but the 1985 which only had shorties and flows was not much louder than my stock 1992. it was DEEPER, but not really louder. now my 1987 with the O/R h's and 40 turndowns was hella' loud.

most loud 2>1>3 most quite

ya my car drmatically improved the sound and was louder after putting my o/r h pipe on along with the best performance increase i got from any part of my exhaust. The catbacks didnt make it much louder at all. as previously stated just deeper.
