fuel pump fuse keeps blowing
everytime i turn my key the fuse to my fuel pump blows out. i have an inline fuse to my fuel pump under my hood. someone put an after market pump it and wired it wrong so i brought it to a shop and they wired it for me they right way and added the fuse. so everytime i turn the key it blows its loud enough i can hear the pop

Does it blow immediately when you hit the key or will it start and then it blows? If it blows as soon as you hit the key, unplug the f/p and try it again. If it doesn't blow the problem is most likely the pump. If it still blows, try unplugging the relay, same thing, if it doesn't blow it's prolly the relay. If it still blows after that, you have a short somewhere that will have to be tracked down. Also, make sure there is nothing else on the f/p circuit causeing the short.

well i found out why the fuse keeps popping. i looked at the fuel pump and there were zip ties around it thanks to the retard that owned the car before me. the pump sh*t the bed and melted the zip ties which explains the nasty smell when my plugs went out. so its time for a new pump what do you guys sugest i get? remember im carburated
