Default Stall Converters?

I am geting ready to install My transgo shift kit on My 93 vert 5.0 with 4.10 gears and I was thinking of installing a stall converter while I have the tranny drained do You think this is a good idea or should I leave the stock one in and just go the kit for know? The car is basically stock other than off road H pipe and flowmaster cat back but I am plannning on alot more in the future. I really like the way the stalled cars sound when they take off.

Thanks for any input!!
Preston

go with a edge or pi converter. best mod you can do to a aod car. dont forget a tranny cooler and gears also.

yes, that will be fine for a street car. but be sure to install a tranny cooler also. stalls increase tranny temps.

i have a 91 LX, AOD, pretty much stock (just some exhaust, MSD, BBK intake, etc.). I bought the TansGo shift kit, B&M Trans Cooler, B&M stall. When i was looking for a stall converter both B&M as well as Summit told me that since my car is almost stock they told me to go with the B&M Torkmaster 2000 (BMM-40437 ) since its stall was just a little more than factory. It's cheap and since i'm not running any forced induction yet, heck its good enough for me right now. Planning on installing the 3 this weekend!

b&m converters are not worth the time to install. i wouldnt take the time to install a torkmaster 2000 evan if it were FREE
