Should I replace my IAC?

Should I replace my IAC?
Still trying to cure this rough idle when the car is warm. I've done just about everything I can think of to track it down, including cleaning the IAC. The IAC seems to be working, yet the rough idle persists. Is it possible that cleaning the unit is simply not enough, and that it needs to be replaced? When these things go bad, what is it exactly that "goes bad"?

RE: Should I replace my IAC?
Doubtful. The purpose of the IAC is to control idle speed, not the integrity of it. Look elsewhere for the problem. Vacuum leak, plug/wire missfire, stuck open egr valve. Thing like that. If the idle's not searching, the IAC is most likely not the problem.
