i was thinking of trying to hook up the smog/air pump to the intake as a small amount of forced induction, and putting a small pulley like the alternator pulley on it to make it spin faster. has anyone ever tryed this and does it create any boost? and does it pump fresh air? just a thought for some free horse power

 

you could probably get more HP out of hooking up an electric leaf blower to your intake.... seriously...

The smog pump only gennerates a small amount of air, but if want to try it go for it.

Im thinking it may cause the car to surge a bit.

 

why would it surge? i have the hose off right now and the air is hot that comes out i dont know if hot air would be good for the engine

 

The cooler the air the better... So pumping hot air into your motor will not help...
