How to get deep throaty exhaust sound?
Can someone tell me what is the best setup to get a real deep throaty sounding exhaust for a stock '95 Mustang GT? I am not car savy and all the posts that I've found are too technical. I did a lot of reading and was thinking either Borla or Bassani kits? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

Are you looking for LOUD deep throaty sounds?Or a mellow throaty v8 sound?
Be a little more detailed theres so many products out i could write a book without knowing your exact tastes.

I would like a loud throaty growl like a lion or tiger, lol! 
but not loud as in high pitch, crackling, or hollow. I went to mustangexhausts.com and heard some samples. The closest one was the Bassani Thunder? But then I understand changing the headers and other components make a difference in sound too. I'm not too worried about performance over sound as I've read in other posts.

no don't go with flowmasters, in my opinion, the magnaflow catback system is killer sound better than any flowmasters with long tube headers. Listen for yourself. http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/domestic.htm

I slapped on a set of Glasspacks sound very 1960's not the standard flowmaster sound. but dont drive the car after you had a few drinks its just an exuce to get pulled over after midnight
never been stopped for noise before 12:00 get stopped all the time after but never got a ticket they just need an excuse.

i dont know about you guys but i never hear anyone mention Dynomax. I know they are mostly used by those w/ 4.6's but i think you should go to www.dynomax.com and listen to the sounds.

i have bbk shorties 1 5/8 and bbk o/r h-pipe (no cats) and American Thunder catback and i get compliments all the time it sounds damn good man! don't listen to these people about magnablow! i mean they are way more expensive. call around to some mustang places and ask them about the exhaust that what i did? it sounds lound when u get on it not idling.

long tube headers and 3 inch exhaust and straight pipe... dont run any mufflers unless you gotta smog it... even if you do if you got the money to get em put on every other year or whatever, its worth it, the sounds is by far better than any muffler i think...
