i tripped across this beautiful black mustang the other day.... i loved it more and more as time went on but i'm havin trouble deciding... there are so many pros and cons i could really use some expert opinions from people who know their mustangs. lets start with the pros-- 5.0 2D GT in great condition. its got brand new black paint with black leather interior - beautiful shape! in dash cd and power seats.. the whole nine yards. the engines in great shape but theres a problem i'll get into in a sec. 1-2 year old wheels with nice alloy rims. thats what i can think of now so here come some of the cons --- its got 142,750 miles on it.. but a girl owned it before me who took excellent care of it including regular oil changes and dealer upkeep. its got a new alternator with a new soft top. which brings me to the next thing on the list... some would say that a soft tops might be on the girly side but i'm not sure. the guys askin about 4,000 for it which is 2-300 dollars under book. by the way it is a 5-speed so thats deff a plus. i need a car and this ones makin me crazy.. so just let me know if you can, what you think.

thats a good deal if its in that good of shape. vert tops are not girly. htey will help you pick up girlys though

Worth every penny IF.....
a) A perfect carfax; no accidents. Clear title with it of course......
b)Did they keep written oil change & have repair records\reciepts?
c)Take it to a known good repair shop & have them inspect it. They might catch what you didn't notice....

And finally.... If all of thee above is in order; it's a bargain.

.... of course none of thee above matters if you are infatuated with it like you sound....You will be buying it anyways......

Miles are just a number, just make sure it was taken good care of. Sounds like a deal to me. I'd offer em' around 3500, money talks too. If you got cash or check in hand, i bet they'd take it.

On one note, some girls suck at drivin stick. But some are good. I ran a carfax on the stang i bought, and that settled my mind alot. Its only like 25 bucks, if that. And that 25 could save you alot in the end.

thanks for the input so far. incase anyone else was wondering the girls dad, who owns it now, works for the state and kept pretty good records. the only previous accident was when someone flicked a cigarette on the top and it burned--- which is where the new top comes in. it does have a new clutch also.. and i think you're right- it looks like i was ready to buy this car. i still am, thanks guys
