Doing a little thinking...
i dunno, prob cheaper and easier to buy one. I got a couple 9ich front halves sitting in the back of my garage for my dads old Ford . But he sold it like 6 years ago. Two have 3.55's and the other one has a 4.11. i need a rearend to go with them.
425 rwhp would equate to 490crank, but you dont have to worry about that cause you dynoed on a mustang dyno. try a dynojet i think youll see those numbers at a more realistic 380ishrwhp!!
If your car is tuned well, dont worry about it.
A lot of the longevity of the 5.0 block is in the tuning, even un-audiable detonation puts some serious strain on the rotating assembly and block, and a good tuner wouldnt have that problem.
Theres guys running around with 680 at the wheels on a stock block in daily drivers.

Bolt-in 9" housings/axles at Moser, Summit, Jegs, Currie.
I even saw some on e-bay
Problem is, they are somewhat heavier than 8.8.
I think that a conversion to 9", done right, could be about $2400.....
