look into a high mileage oil

they have additives that will help
old seals., but yes it will not hurt to
move up to a synthetic oil.

you just dont want to use synth. oils on
new engines.

Why not? I thought that was the best thing you could do was raise a car on a good synthetic?

I just crossed 81k miles on my 93 and I've been running Mobile 1 10w30 Synthetic for about 10k miles now. Great oil, notice a difference in power and smoothness, you're gonna burn more though and you might notice some leaks.

The worst thing you could do to an engine is raise it on synthetic, probably wouldn't even see 80k if you did that. You gotta break the motor in.

synthetic oil is a bunch of hype. personally if you wanna to run anything i say you should run a synthetic blend, especially because you have alot of miles on your motor as it is.
