I personally dont see any harm in breaking an axle with 350 hp. I have had a 3.55 and 3.73 relatively close period and could tell a whole lotta difference. Think about it is less than a 1/4 turn of the tire.

Do the 3.73's and 31 spline axles. Obviously you want the car to hook so the 31's are the prudent choice. Plus when you do the gears and if the posi will be rebuilt, the spiders are right there.

3.73 might be a better choice.....i have an s trim in my 92gt with 3.55's and no drag radials, i have 18's with 265 in the back and spin 3 gears unless i heat up the tires good.......i was thinking about changing my gears to 3.73's but i love top end racing......i think you would do better with 3.73's..but 4th gear with the 3.55's is pretty sick compared to the 3.73

What you need to do is find out other guys horse power and see what set ups they have. I still think 3.73 would be good. I know guys running even lwer gears with more power, but it all depends what you want. Lower gears, lower top end and vise versa. I love my 3.73 and wouldn't want anything different.

I agree with 3.55s. I think they're enough without the supercharger, and since there is so little difference like everyone says why not just do 3.55s. If you're ever planning on launching your car with sticky tires I suggest upgrading to 31 spline, even if its the Explorer/F-150 setup...

youll never be happy with 3:55 dude. i have like 325whp now and they feel so much better wuth the 373 than it does with the 355 i used to have. mine will hook killer with d/rads. it hooks better than it did with the 355 too for some reason. so id say the clear choice will be 373. oh and the quicker you get it wound up, the quicker the blower will spool up, another reason you want 373

if you want a 1/4 mile car then go with the 3.55's but if you want a highway killer id suggest going with the 3.27's untill you have those in your car already. id advise you to keep those.. great gears for killing those ricers on the highway!
