Yes, but it make you already heavy vert into a boat.

Dynomat weighs alot, your going to add about 45 lbs to the floor by doing this.

^ why remove weight ... then add more back ... unless the weight you're adding back is in the means of a performance mod (such as a roll bar, superchager, etc.) then why remove things that are heavy and put new things back in?

i say ...

if your removing weight ... get rid of as much crap you don't need; at this point it's gonna' be for performance so who cares how loud/uncomfortable it is.
if you want a quite/comfortable car and don't care about weight ... then don't worry about removing any "excess" weight in the first place and add all the dynomat you need.

Why cant he care about weight but not want a super loud car? If he kept the weight as stock plus 40lbs of dynamat than he would be 40+ over stock.. RIGHT? But now that he reduced his weight by a few hundred hes still under stock and gets what he wants... which is a light car thats not loud as hell.

Yes, dynamat will help with the noise.

If you're going to replace your carpet anytime soon, just get the mass backed carpet. You shouldn't need dynomat w/ it...it's supposed to have a similar effect.

well, all the weight that i removed was function, not for weight reduction, k member/coil over kit, took out a/c smog, went to a manual rack, all this added performance not just weight reduction, among other things, i still have a full interior, not to be a dick but the thread was will it keep noise out, not will it weigh down my car!!!
