Default pistons

what pistons create lower compression ratios? I know domed create higher, but i'm looking for something to retain a 9:1 ratio, or maybe lower than that. Whats the difference between a dished piston and a blower piston?

i thought dish/blower was the same thing. correct me if im wrong here but i think the piston is bigger. if the piston is bigger it would take up more space making the c/r higher.

hmm. i was thinkin with a blower piston, the piston was for superchargers, making the c/r lower. but i dunno, i've never heard a piston called a blower piston before

well dish is for a forced induction set up, so blower has to be the same thing. what do they call a piston in a big rig truck?

i think most of them are just flat top pistons with reliefes cut in them. i googled it and thats all i saw..besides the damn 12 foot tall connecting rods with pistons on them as big as my whole car.

domed pistons create high compression though right? I wouldnt think a semi that had a turbo diesel engine in it would use high compression.

but i dunno if it would matter on a diesel since their whole combustion process is different. EH!?

I just want a set of pistons that i can run N/A for a while until i have my turbo kit. any suggestions?

yep ross 8.5 c/r dish pistons. a diesel is like 18-1 c/r because it is compression ignition.

yeah i just realized that after i typed everything.

we'll talk about this tomorrow. i have to wake up and be to work by 6 am so i can get 3 transmissions in 3 corvettes and have them all ready to go so their snobby *** owners will stock bitching about having to leave the car they never drive at a dealership for 2 days.

i get to be a tranny tech for the next 4 or 5 weeks because our other one got hit by a car on his bike [:@]
