Default brakes

Stupid Question!!!!! I just bought cross drilled and slotted brake rotor and new pads. Is there anything I need to do to the surface of the rotor when installing.
Thanks

Clean it. Usually there is some type of coating on it.

Yeah, spray it and clean it with some brake cleaner. You will see alot of yellow junk left on the rag...That's just to protect the rotors from rust.

I would buy new bearing and seal for them and instal some braided brake lines and some 76mm calipers and a master cly from a SVO for much better stopping power

yes, the svo calipers with ceramic pads drastically improve the stopping power.
and they are only around $20 each.
