MY newly aquired lx does not have a shroud, or rad fan...or a resovoir. I drove it 200 miles and even sat in traffic for 25 mins in 80 degree weather and the temp gauage rose very little.[sm=dontgetit.gif] THe rad is brand new and doesn't look like your typical radiator...though I could be wrong.

Do they make radiator's that do not need a fan??? Confused and bewildered.

Check the front of the radiator to see if it has a electric pusher fan

Well there is a chance that the radiator is soooo good that the coolant cooled enough while driving to keep you temp cool. I know mine does if I'm driving on the highway and then come to a long light. The fan doesn't turn on and the temp stays relatively level

the fan is needed for stop and go driving to pull air thur the rad to cool the water..in highway driving it's not needed this is why a clutch is used on the stock fan as it doen'ts go faster than what is need because of the clutch
