Default Quick Question, headers

Buying my crossover pipe and I alright got shortie headers. Is the length of the shorties the same as stock so I can get an OEM fit crossover or do I have to get one specifically for shorties. thanks

shorties are a lil bit longer bit just barely. its the mid pipe that hangs low. i think on almost every exhaust job ive seen yet they hang a little lower than normal

It does not matter.. Shorties will work with your stock midpipe.. Just order a H or X pipe that is OEM fit, and make sure it's not for long tubes, but it will clearly state if for long tubes..

fyi---- im in maryland, and my car has no cats at all, and the mufflers are dumped before the axle... i get pulled over often, and have NEVER(knock on wood) had a problem w. themw. my exhaust.

one of the times, most recent, i wasnt thinking and started it back up as he was walkin away... right by the back tire... he walks back, and goes "damn, ****in thing shakes the ground doesnt it? sounds bad *** man!" (happened to be a cool *** cop, lol)

but what i do is i shut off the car everytime i get pulled over, and usually throw the keys on the dash... dunno i just try to make the cop as comfortable as possible, by doing things such as that, turning on my interior light before he gets there... leave hands both on wheel or in plain view when he walks up and ill hit my hazrds, window already down, and tell him where im getting the license and reg. from... sry got off topic. but yea.. go no cats man... you wont regret it
