I would think a quart/1000 miles would be pretty easy to track down.

Duly noted. The reason I say that is, I've seen bike motors have full cranking compression, yet lots of leakdown/oil consumption. At any rate, I may do a CT just for the hell of it--dry and wet--and see what I come up with. I was just wondering whether these motors were known to carbon-up and cause oil consumption (like Saturns and Isuzu Troopers).

I would think a quart/1000 miles would be pretty easy to track down.
I think it's blowing it out the tailpipe, a little at a time. I'd like to think that the slow leak is responsible for some of the oil usage, but can't quite wrap my head around quantity/time relationships very well. I mean, how big of a leak does it take to notice a difference in oil level? Any thoughts will be appreciated.

A qt/1000 would be a pretty size able/noticeable leak.

You would think, huh? Shoot...I'd even be happy if it were leaking a half a quart per 1k. That would be acceptable oil usage, I guess. I think I'll go down now and see where the oil is actually leaking from. That's a good first step. Thanks again, Pro.

Hmm. Some Seafoam in the oil may just help. There also the possibility that it will make it worse. Grabbem, I'm scared. But seriously, maybe someone will chime in with some anecdotes. Thanks for the info.

Thanks Grabbem. What the hell. Think I'll do it tomorrow. Thanks folks. By the way, my leak was just my rear drain plug being slightly under torqued (incase anyone was waiting to find out before going to bed). Later fellas.
