Default Just double checking on the radiator i need...

Hello... I am getting ready to purchase a Aluminum radiator for my 2.3 to 5.0 conversion and am going with a external trans cooler. Just making sure I'm supposed to buy a Radiator for a MANUAL transmission, not Auto, since i'm going with an external cooler. Thanks in advance!!!

Either one will work, go with what's cheaper aha. But why not just use the rad to cool it?

I dont believe that the radiator will cool the tranny enough for a performance application, even with an electric fan. I'm going with a shift kit and slightly higher stall converter....

before you hook up your coolant lines to whatever cooler your going to use
Blow the cooler out with something, new or not, they sometimes have trash in them
and can mess up your transmission
good luck
