Default H pipe vs X pipe

Sorry Guys i know this probably has already been said or discuss. I have heard before but forgot. What is the difference between the two what gives what. Any Help would be nice.

h is for sound, x is for power...only like 2 horses and it is a higher pitch not deep rumble like h pipe

^^ Not always true... depends on the application. I have seen cases where the h pipe out performs the x pipe by ALOT of power. I posted up a dyno from the corral.net a while ago. If you search you could probally find it.

What he said... an h pipe will give you a deeper tone than a X.

Do a search.... you can find this same thread 1 billion times in the past month.

^ I agree. I would never put an X pipe on a 5.0. Its not that they sound bad.... I just think the H sounds alot better.

i just dont like the crackling noise they make. H pipes just have a low rumble. the X sounds like popcorn or something....[:'(]
