i just recently installed this setup on a 1988 lx and we did NOT have to switch out the pistons nor notch them. Just bolt the stuff up and go.

I posted an email from TFS a while back...they are good to about .540 lift w/ stock internals.

Done and done.

that is for valve springs, but .540 is about max with them.

Just use their Stage 1 cam and you're fine, it will even leave you a little room for vavle float.

thier vavles are at a different angle so thier head with 2.02 valve cam be used without notching the pistons..still always check piston/valve clearance....if you were ever to buy new piston then the reverse dome works alsum with those heads
