Default Dead headlights

Yeah so I was sitting in the parking lot with a couple of my friends last night and all of a sudden my headlights turned off for no apparent reason...and I got some smoke coming out of the dashboard behind the headlight and fog light switch...So wtf...Now I have no headlights (parking lights still work) or fogs. I'm assuming that the switch or a wire back there burned up, because the headlight switch doesn't have two clicks like it should, it just goes all the way in. Obviously something burned up...either a wire, or the switch itself. Am I going to have to take the whole dashboard apart? If I do, how much of a job is that? Thanks.

you prolly need a good ole headlight switch. they burn up like that sometimes. about every mustang will loose one at least once in its life. 10dolla fix bro. easy to change.

It will prolly be a good idea to do the foglight relay re-wire in my earlier post to reduce the ammount of current going through the headlight switch to prevent another meltdown.

But would that also be responsible for my fogs not working? Just wondering, thanks guys.
