I've got Prothane poly engine and tranny mounts. Car should be running this week...I'll let you know how I like them.

Pretty straight forward install right? Just put a 2x4 under the oil pan, undo the 2 bolts per bushing, then put a 2x4 under the oil pan and lift the engine, right?
yeah pretty much, its easy.

i'm just telling you what i was told. he said as soon as he took the poly trans mount off and replaced it with an OEM, he quit having problems. maybe its just him. i dunno. he is kinda goofy.

That 2x4 probably won't break right? Also, would you do it with a crappy 2000lb autozone hydraulic floor jack? (I know the engine is much lighter than 2k lbs, but still)

And is there any place in particular to put the 2x4 under?

i cut a couple pieces and fresh 2x4 and they worked fine. i used the oil pan to lift the engine. and your jack should be fine to lift the engine once your car is on jackstands.

here's and article 5.0 did Motor Mount Article

i use solid motor mounts... an added bonus is you wont need an extra ground strap, the mounts will act as it. they will vibrate the car a bit more.
