Default Intake Setup

My car curently has the C&l true flow inlet pipe 76mm c&l mass air with march ram air with no pan just the tube sitting in the bumper...Car was running rough decide to pull the box..its full of rocks leave and stuff like that..Clean the filter..take the ram air stuff out so now i just have the big K&N in my engine bay. I wanted to know if i could get sum high temp pvc the black stuff... sum rubber elbows and put the maf and k&n in the fenderwell pointing straight down. Any ideas on a home made fenderwell kit.. I love the C&L pipe but would like to put the filter in the fenderwell..

Take a trip to a hardware store or home depot.

They got everything you need to make it.

you just want a long radius to not imped flow...you should make a pan for the hose and put the ram air back in..this time put a small hole mesh in front of it this will cut down on debri in the filter...or find a used moroso cold air kits..about 25 used this is all I every have used..had mine for about 8 years

Ya have fun with it and try no to pinch bends too much or have a bend right before the maf as it will throw off the sensor a tad bit, at least it happened to me...

Home Depot has some 4" diameter aluminum flexible duct material that I used to make my home made ram air that I installed in the fog lite hole in the bumper after I removed the fog lights. This stuff is easy to bend and light weight too, so I would use it instead of PVC pipe. Just get some large worm screw pipe clamps to hold it onto the other pipe in the intake system. I always thought those on the ground ram air systems were overpriced and way too low to the ground to not be picking up all kinds of debris, leaves, rain, etc. and you just proved it for me.
