Secondary Fuel pump failure

Secondary Fuel pump failure
I have seen several fords running a secondary fuel pump failure code with no real effect on preformance. I have recently converted a v6 ranger that posted the code to a V8 and it still shows the same code. Different main harnes, computer and pump. Does anyone know what this code truely means, or what I may do to eliminate this.

the one time i got this code was because i had tripped the...F, drawing a blank here, uh, the inertia switch in the back under the trim panel. showed as a continuous memory code. after i cleared codes it never came back.

That's the problem, the code post's as it's running. I clear all codes and then check again, the only thing is the dang same code. I can guarantee the inertia switch is not a factor.
BTW The block currently sits in a ranger that originally had a two pump system. It has been converted to one high pressure pump in tank but I don't know if the computer looks for any sort of resistance / load or anything.

RE: Secondary Fuel pump failure
This is my dilemma, I have a full 12V at the fuel pump connecter and less than 0.5 ohms on the ground side. I was thinking that maybe it had something to do with only having one pump in a two pump circuit or that I had had the pristine opportunity to stumbling onto two computers with the exact same code....
