Back in 93 we all used to meet at the 7 eleven on Thursday nights. I had a 93 coupe that had a GT40,exhaust 3:55's and pulleys and a 100 shot on it. This rich dude pulls up in a Calloway Corvette and asked if anyone wanted to waate his gas on a mustang. So my buddy Sean looks at me and tells me he is all out of spray so I threw him my keys and he goes off to run the $100,000 twin turbo Vette.

Sean comes back laughing and tells me he was five out on him and he sprayed him out of the whole. The guy pulls up and says holy s*** that car is fast. It was poetic, my $14K mustang welded his car. Oh yea, my cart went 11.93 on street tires with a 1.9 short time. God I miss that car.

I'm tellin ya man... It's the insane bottom end these things have... Even with a 308 rear gear they pull hard till 4500 or so... The old cars pulled hard with good gears and good cams with good gas but the new cars have DOHCs which are pukers until 3500 or so... that's what got him goin... i'm sure of it...

on a side note... What cam do you have in it? I've got an 84 and i'm looking to cam it and maybe gear it this summer.. I'm working on the wiring and the exhaust now. I need some mufflers for cheap and i'm looking into a summit offroad h or x pipe. I've got a performer intake and a holley 570 street avenger. I've also got a 600 holley with a milled choke horn (who needs a choke) that i'm building for the car after the cam swap and i've got a performer rpm i may use. Just curious what you have done total so i know how you like it.

i got pulled about 2 cars up to 125mph a few days ago by a zo6 with exhaust and 3:42 gears [:@]. pissed me off. but i have ran door to door with one up to 110 or so, then they always get me about 1/2 car. i cant wait to get my new stuff in, ill be a zo6 killa then i can kill the 345hp vettes though. P.S. these are the 04-vettes with 405hp, not the new ones.
