Default 20hp chip (resistor)

has anyone seen these cheap chips on ebay, its just a resistor and it supposidly advances timing or somethin, its supposed to a 15-20 hp
i think by the looks of the pic that it goes into the plug that u remove to set ur timing (not sure what its called sorry)
anyone heard of this?

its a load of crap. it plugs into the maf wires and tricks the ecu into thinking its cold outside causing the ecu to advance the timing and run richer. but how much richer and how much more timing it adds......who knows. just advance the timing via the distributor. its safe and you know whats actually happening.

i lust remembered what the plug was called its called the spout connector u have to remove it before u set ur timing.
anyways i just read it again and it says it connects to the intake sensor.
it uses a 8200 ohm resistorand it supposed to make the computer think its getting more cold air.
check it out for your self below.

That's "old school" EFI...it simply fixes the IAT/ACT sensor value to a "cold" setting forcing the ECM to use the "cold startup" logic in the ECM...rich conditions and more timing is "forced"....until the system "learns" about it, and re-adjusts. Not worth it.....
