RE: eletric fans
Friend of mine has an electric running on the stock alt. Once in a while he gets charging issues but he loves it. If you get an electric make sure you upgrade your alternator with it. Get a 130 or so.
Oh, some guy with a GREAT lookin' 5.0 notch (i think he lives in Alaska) said he got like a 25hp gain from it dynod, but he thinks his clutch was stuck... I think mine is too... POS

I've had charging issues out of mine. I had a system in there but had to remove it when i put the fan in, but i still have the stock alternator. I didn't feel any difference in the power department when i put it on. I think its only supposed to be like 5 HP so you aren't gonna feel that anyways.

When it comes to fans I dont think u should be worried about gaining any horsepower. As far as cooling ur engine bay, it would be a great choice. I have an electric fan and wired it direct so that when the ignition is on, the fan kicks on. I never see my temp gauge go over the second bar
